I bought a PTZ Pro752. I have a DVR8-4500 which does not have the RS485 port eventhough it's a pretty expensive model, which I found odd. Any case, I still bought the camera in order to connect it because the camera itself comes with a remote for programming. After installing it and hooking it up, the OSD instructions were vague and I was unable to place the PTZ on "patrol or rove". I called Swann customer care who was unable to figure out how to program the PTZ camera. Also, I found the day resolution good, but night resolution was poor. I then returned the camera to best buy since Swann support was unable to assist me. I was supposed to get a call back from a "tier III" technician. Why cant a regular rep set it up?

Great image quality in the daylight a little grainy at night, works well in low light but needs some ambient light at night. Luckily I have a nearby street light that provides just enough.
Great zoom level and easy to change it's position to cover my vehicle depending where I am able to park. Easiest way is from my iphone but just as easy with the OSD.
Overall good for the money.

Nice product, fairly simple to setup and worked first time no issues.
The camera has locked up a couple of times when I was using the OSD camera setup - cycled power to resolve.
A major issue (for me) is that the dome obscures the top part of the image when the camera is tilted right up.
The camera sees very well in low light - but it has no IR light source, so it can not see in the dark. To add total darkness capability, simply install a low cost auto-IR flood light.
Positives...
- Nice build quality - seems solid.
- Great zoom - 22x is fantastic.
- Nice feature set
- Impressive low light performance.
Negatives...
- No proportional PAN/TILT (full speed is way too fast when zoomed in)
- Images quality is not great (soft) at higher zoom levels.
- Top of image is obscured by dome when the camera is tilted right up.

It says it can see in low light but it doesn't. I took this to mean it has IR but when I called support they told me that it does work at night time provided that you "light the area" - what a waste of time. I've had nothing but problems with Swann products.... they are of poor quality and do not do what they are sold to do.
